Survey Shows 55% of Physicians Will Be Voting for Romney Today

/ Citing Tort Reform and the Affordable Health Care Act as the Reason

According to a survey by Jackson and Cokey, 55 percent of physicians will be voting for Mitt Romney while 36 percent will be voting for Obama. A significant change in the voting trend for physicians compared to the last election. Among the surveyed respondents, 15 percent said they will be switching to the Republican side this election, stating the Affordable Health Care Act and tort reform as the reason.

Regardless of who wins, today’s election results will have a dramatic impact on the future of health care, Medicare and Medicaid. Physicians, nurses and medical providers will likely feel the affects more than most. Unfortunately, the future of health care and its impact on health care providers is anybody’s guess.
